Mrs Clayton and Mrs Ludford's class (KS1)
We hope you have all been enjoying the sunshine over half term and keeping healthy.
I have been on some long bike rides and some lovely long walks. We even went very early to Burghley one morning, where we were very lucky to see the deer underneath the trees and then we watched
them run across the field. Burghley house had a beautiful rainbow above the main doors and was flying a flag to say thank you to all of the NHS workers.
Mrs Clayton has been to Ferry Meadows and seen the swans and cygnets on the lakes and has also been out on her bike.
We are starting our home school learning again and we hope you will continue to listen carefully to whoever is helping you and try your best. There are the usual maths, English and spelling activities and
this term there is a special reading focus with the creative tasks.
We know you worked hard before half term and we know you will continue to do so.
If we were at school we would be working hard to get year 2 ready to be big year 3s. So once you have spoken to your grown up and know what you are doing try hard to have a go at working independently.
YOU CAN DO IT!!
Take care we look forward to seeing you soon.
Mrs Ludford and Mrs Clayton
Before half term, Merit Badges were awarded to:
Ralph Thewlas (Y1) for working hard on his reading at home
Cerys Twinley (Y2) for re-telling the story of ‘The Extraordinary Gardener’ with accuracy, lots of detail and super handwriting!
