Forest School Skills Week is a great success
A super week of outdoor learning...
Everyone had a wonderful time during our Forest School Skills Week! Each day, the children took part in outdoor-based learning experiences including building fires, whittling, going for well-being walks, creating natural art and outdoor English and maths. Even collective worship was held outside!
As part of the week, Years 3 and 4 embarked on a cross-country pilgrimage between the churches of Uffington and Tallington to support their learning in RE . Meanwhile, Years 5 and 6 honed their cooking skills by grilling sausages and baking bread over their fires, and the staff certainly appreciated their making the morning drinks in a ghillie kettle!
