Welcome Back!
An exciting summer term lies ahead...
I hope that everyone has enjoyed a restful half-term break. With SATS behind us and hopefully some good weather ahead of us, we are looking forward to a busy diary of events to enrich the curriculum. The summer sports season is now well underway and all children will have the opportunity to take part in intra-school sport, including Sports Day, while some will also have the opportunity to compete against other schools in cricket, rounders and athletics. Y3/4 will also compete in the South-West Lincolnshire Mini Olympics.
We have a number of visits planned for the coming weeks including pilgrimages to Tallington and Walsingham, a visit to West Deeping Quarry to see the archaeological dig there, the Y4 Churches Together Festival and a day at Burghley for Reception and KS1.
Finally, we are looking forward to a Forest Schools Skills week at the end of June with all children having the chance to engage in outdoor learning each day. We shall also be celebrating 'Barkfest' - an initiative to explore the mental health benefits of spending time with animals. There really should be something for everyone to enjoy!
