Preparing for the future; living life in all its fullness

A very busy week

Rugby, Running and a Fire Engine...

Rugby ChampionsWe've had a really busy week with lots going on in school. On Wednesday morning Miss Waters' and Mrs Clayton's classes were thrilled when a fire engine visited school as part of their 'People who help us' topic. The children had lots of fun testing the hoses and siren before the appliance was called away to a real 'shout'.

The Tag Rugby team played in the Stamford and District Tournament on Thursday afternoon. They won all their matches and returned triumphant with the trophy which has been won by the school for the past twelve out of thirteen tournaments. It was great to have a tournament once more following a year with no inter-school sport in the district.

We are very proud to have achieved a Gold participation award for the One Mile Challenge which was held before half term. Every child from Years 1 to 6 took part so the all made a contribution to the award - Well done! There will be another whole school running event on 10th December when we take part in the South West Lincolnshire Schools Santa Dash.
