Weekly Update
Snow closes school...
Although we are currently open only to a small number of children, school was closed to all on Monday and Tuesday of this week. A number of accidents on the roads and a fallen tree in the village meant that it was not safe for families and staff to travel to school by car. On-line learning, however, has continued although we have encouraged the children to make the most of the snow while it is here!
We appreciate that home learning can take its toll on families and, to this end, we organised a Creative Day for last Friday. The children checked in with their teachers on Google Meet and were then encouraged to engage in non-screen-based activities of their choice. Judging by the photographs that have been sent, the children had a wonderful time building dens, enjoying the outdoors, creating models, building with Lego and Knex and baking. We are committed to the well-being of all our families and plan to repeat this type of day every three weeks during lockdown.
