An Uffington Christmas
Christmas celebrations at Uffington School
We have had a busy week preparing for Christmas: our displays are up and the children have enjoyed an array of arts and crafts. We have all joined the Lincoln Diocesan Virtual Carol Service using Makaton signing for a rendition of Silent Night as we are not allowed to sing indoors - a really special opportunity to join with church schools from across the diocese. Today we have worn our Christmas jumpers in aid of Save the Children and taken part in the National Santa Fun Run. Each 'bubble' ran their own race and a new record was set by Eli in Year 5 who completed 45 laps of the school field. Everyone tried their best and lots of fun was had even though it was rather cold and muddy! The children certainly worked up an appetite to enjoy their Christmas lunch.
There are more special treats in store for next week including a virtual pantomime and walks around the village to admire the decorations in church and look out for Uffington stars
