Hamerton Zoo - KS1 photos
Our Reception and Key Stage One classes enjoyed a fun day out at Hamerton Zoo yesterday, linked to their topic work all about Africa. We explored the whole zoo, including the aviary, sloth house and of course a short burst of activity in the play area too! We looked at the maps included on each fact file to find out which animals were from the continent of Africa and which animals came from other parts of the world. For most of the children, their favourite African animals were the meerkats and their favourite animals from other continents included: the sloths, lar gibbons and tigers. Everyone represented our school brilliantly and coped with the heat very well. It is safe to say that we were all glad to return to the comfort of an air-conditioned coach for the journey back to school!
